How the Mg to Ml Converter Works
This tool converts milligrams (mg), a unit of mass, into milliliters (mL), a unit of volume. These measure different things, so the conversion is only possible if you also supply a concentration or density in milligrams per milliliter. For pure water, the density is 1 g/mL, which is 1000 mg/mL, so 1000 mg of water equals 1 mL. For other liquids and solutions, use the labelled concentration.

- mL = 250 ÷ 100 = 2.5 mL

Why You Always Need a Concentration
It is a common myth that 1 mg equals 1 mL. That is only true when the density is exactly 1000 mg/mL, as with pure water. A syrup, oil or drug solution packs a different mass into each milliliter, so you must read the concentration from the label before converting.
