How to use the PDF page extractor

3. Click Extract & download. A link appears with your new PDF ready to save.

Pages appear in the order you list them, so you control the sequence. You can even write a range backwards, such as 8-5, to reverse those pages in the output.

Is it private and safe?

Yes — entirely. This extractor runs 100% in your browser. When you select a PDF it is read into memory on your own device, processed by the open-source pdf-lib library, and handed back to you as a download. Your file is never uploaded to a server, never queued, and never stored online.

That privacy guarantee matters most for exactly the documents people most often need to extract pages from — contracts, tax forms, medical paperwork and financial statements. Because the work happens locally, there is nothing for a third party to see or keep. The tool even keeps working if you go offline after the page has loaded.

Tips for extracting PDF pages

• Reorder while you extract. Typing 3,1,2 produces a PDF with those pages in that exact order — handy for rearranging without a separate tool.
• Repeat a page by listing it twice, e.g. 1,1,2, if you need a duplicate in the output.
• Check the count. Every number must fall between 1 and the page total shown after upload; an out-of-range value prompts a clear correction message.
