What this tool does
This tool rotates the pages of a PDF by 90, 180, or 270 degrees and saves the change permanently, all in your browser. Use it to fix a sideways scan, turn a landscape page upright, or flip an upside-down page. You can rotate every page at once or pick a single page, then download the corrected file. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
How to rotate a PDF
- Click Choose a PDF file. The tool reads it locally and shows how many pages it contains.
- Under Rotate by, choose 90° clockwise, 180°, or 270° (a quarter-turn to the left).
- Under Apply to, choose All pages to rotate the whole document, or A single page and enter the page number.
- Click Rotate PDF, then click Download rotated PDF to save the result.
The new rotation is added to each page’s existing orientation, so a page already turned 90° plus another 90° ends up at 180°.
Is it private and safe?
Yes. This is a fully client-side tool. Your PDF is read with file.arrayBuffer() and rotated using the open-source pdf-lib library, all on your own machine. Your file never leaves your device — there is no upload, no server, and nothing is stored or logged. That keeps it safe for confidential statements, contracts, and scanned ID documents. After the page loads you can go offline and the rotation will still work.
Why rotate instead of re-scan?
Rotating a finished PDF is faster and lossless. Rather than re-scanning a stack of pages because one batch fed in sideways, you can:
