How it works
Your image is drawn onto a canvas. The tool first searches for the best JPEG quality at full resolution. If even the lowest quality is still over 100KB, it reduces the dimensions by about 15% per step and tries again, repeating until the file fits. Resizing the pixels — not just crushing quality — is what keeps a large photo looking acceptable at 100KB rather than blocky.

Tips
- Crop dead space first. Trimming empty background before resizing leaves more pixels for the subject.
- Photos only. Text-heavy screenshots and logos look better kept as PNG than forced to a tiny JPG.
