How the Word Unscrambler Works
A word unscrambler turns a pile of jumbled letters into every real word you can spell from them. The method is a letter-count comparison:
- Count your letters —
teabslbecomes{a:1, b:1, e:1, l:1, s:1, t:1}. - Check each dictionary word — for a word to qualify, every letter it needs must exist in your pool, and duplicate letters must appear often enough.
- Group and sort — matching words are grouped by length, longest first, since longer words usually score more in tile games.
Results update live as you type, and you can filter to a minimum length or restrict to words that use every letter.
